Magda García received her Certificate from The Cenacle Spiritual Direction Institute in August of 2010 and in 2011 completed an internship on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola. She is a member of Spiritual Directors International (SDI). Magda has been a parishioner of St. Thomas More Catholic Church since 1979; a member of the Apostleship of the Cross since 1995, and has served our community as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion since 1984. She is married to Frank García-Torres, has three children and four grandchildren. Magda knows that she is God’s servant and that He has graciously called her to walk with others towards a loving God who desires more than anything to be close to His people. Spiritual direction helps us this way. It gives us the opportunity to explore our prayer life, to discover the presence of God in our experiences, and to become more intimate with God, while being in the company of a fellow Christian who can guide us in our life’s journey. Erin Robleto is a wife, mother of five children, teacher, and spiritual director. She received her training from the Spiritual Direction Institute organized through Cenacle Sisters of Houston. This program trains persons over a three year time period in different spiritualities and the spiritual heritage of the church. She believes Spiritual Direction to be a meeting with another person to share one’s spiritual journey in the hopes of growing closer to God. Tradition has consistently defined the practice of spiritual direction as an art that recognizes and honors the Holy Spirit as the true director. During a spiritual direction session one may anticipate reflecting on the experiences of daily life, prayer, relationship situations, and decisions.
